Terms & conditions

Hello Local Studio is operated by Knox Zark Chalmers, a sole trader, ABN 50 290 526 945. Contact: knoxchalmers47@gmail.com.

1. Using this website

This website describes our website design service. Sending an enquiry does not place an order, require a deposit or create a paid project agreement. Before work starts, we provide a written quote identifying the customer, scope, price, payment stages, timing and applicable project terms for acceptance.

2. The advertised package

The advertised build fee is $800 AUD, with $400 to start and $400 after approval, before launch. The package includes one page, services or menu information, hours and location, a mobile-friendly layout, help with wording, an enquiry form or a link to an existing booking service, one consolidated revision round, hosting setup and a handover.

Domain registration and hosting are separate ongoing costs. We confirm the providers and their charges before you commit. Extra pages, online stores, custom booking systems, advertising, ongoing SEO and later content changes are outside the package and need a separate agreed quote. An enquiry is not permission to incur extra charges.

3. Content, timing and approval

The written quote confirms the schedule and content needed from you. Please provide accurate business information and only materials you have permission to use. You review a preview and provide one consolidated list of changes within the agreed scope. Additional work and any resulting change to price or timing need agreement before that work starts. No search ranking, sales volume or enquiry volume is promised.

4. Website files and intellectual property

After final payment, we provide the agreed website files and handover. You retain rights to your own supplied content. Our process uses reusable templates and may use AI-assisted code or wording; the service does not promise an exclusive design or exclusive copyright in AI-generated material. The written project agreement must explain the licence to reusable components and any third-party assets. Any agreed assignment of copyright must be documented in a signed agreement. These website terms do not themselves assign copyright.

The café, mechanic and clothing pages are fictional demonstrations, not client endorsements or operating businesses. Their names, menus, service descriptions, hours, clothing specifications, sizes and prices are illustrative. Café and workshop imagery is AI-created. Clothing photographs are licensed illustrative stock, not evidence of real FORME products or endorsements by models or photographers. No bookings, purchases or enquiries can be made through those demonstrations.

5. Problems, cancellation and consumer rights

If a delivered website does not match the agreed scope or has a fault, contact us with the page and a description of the problem. We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this website excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees. These rights are not limited to 30 days after launch.

The project quote should explain cancellation before you accept it. We do not describe deposits as automatically non-refundable. Any cancellation accounting must reflect work actually performed, reasonable agreed costs and your legal rights; it must not override an entitlement to a refund or other remedy.

Changes to these website terms apply prospectively and do not change an existing accepted project agreement without agreement. These terms do not impose a liability cap, indemnity, late fee or automatic renewal.

6. Privacy and third-party services

See the privacy policy and cookie policy for how this site and its enquiry form handle information. External links lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices.

7. Questions or complaints

Email knoxchalmers47@gmail.com with your concern and the outcome you are seeking. We will discuss a resolution with you. This does not prevent you seeking help from Consumer Affairs Victoria, another relevant regulator, or exercising your legal rights.
