1. Information collected and why

To respond to a website enquiry, the form asks for an email address and a message. Your name and business name are optional. We use the information to respond, discuss requirements and, if you decide to proceed, prepare and manage your project. Without an email address we cannot reply through this form; you can email us instead.

Please do not send passwords, card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information. There are no payment fields, file uploads, accounts or newsletter sign-ups on this site. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

2. Hosting, forms and email

Netlify hosts the website and processes submissions through Netlify Forms, including spam filtering by Akismet (Automattic). Submitted enquiries are processed and stored through Netlify Forms. Correspondence sent to our listed Gmail address is processed by Google. Form submissions may also be copied to email when notifications are enabled. These services may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and security or delivery logs.

Netlify, Google and their service providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. We do not promise Australian-only storage. Read Netlify’s privacy information, Netlify’s subprocessor information and Google’s privacy policy.

3. Sharing and marketing

Information is used by our team and the service providers needed to receive and answer the enquiry or deliver an agreed project. We do not sell enquiry details or use this form to create advertising audiences. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law. We will ask separately before using your project or testimonial in our portfolio.

4. Storage and retention

Enquiry information may exist in both Netlify and email records. We retain information needed to handle the enquiry, perform agreed work, keep required business records or deal with a dispute. Information no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified, subject to legal retention requirements and provider backup processes. This website does not automatically delete submissions after a fixed period.

Online transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use the contact email to discuss a suitable way to provide confidential project information.

5. Access, corrections, deletion and complaints

Email knoxchalmers47@gmail.com to ask what enquiry information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or make a privacy complaint. Include enough information to identify your enquiry, but do not send identity documents unless we first agree a necessary and suitable verification method. We may need to retain some information for legal obligations or a dispute and will explain any restriction on a request.

If a concern is unresolved, you can seek guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, including whether your complaint falls within its jurisdiction.
